Bright College Years Recording Project
The master recording is me conducing to a sound track of Bright College Years.
• The band master recording is in Ab and begins with me giving beats 3 and 4 before the band plays in measure one (you can hear me grunt "hmm" "hmm" for beats three and four, and then play!
• The choir master recording is in B, and you will have an 8-measure introduction before you sing.
Don't worry about the disparity in keys. I can address that later - technology!
Play the master recording through head phones, and record yourself playing along on your phone. It doesn’t matter what device you record on – but it is best if your recording doesn’t include any of the master video’s sound file. You could probably get away with playing and having the master recording’s volume on very low.

- Record yourself with both audio and video. Iphone camera is fine. When you are finished, send me your file, labelled “BCY” + “Your Name” and the “instrumental part that you recorded”. Some of you have indicated that you would like to record multiple parts (different instruments). That is fine. Each must be a separate file.
- Your files will be large so texting or email may not work.
